Organization Structure

The Jambato Alliance is comprised of:

  • The General Assembly
  • The Board of Directors
  • The Executive Directorate
  • The Technical Council
  • The Ethics Committee

The General Assembly is the Foundation’s highest governing body. It is made up of its founding, adhering, and honorary members.

The Board of Directors is the regulatory body of the Foundation; it guides and oversees the administrative, financial, and regulatory affairs of the Foundation. It is inclusively and equally composed of the following leaders:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer

The Executive Directorate is the foundation’s administrative and executive body. It is responsible for executing the foundation’s administrative, financial, and technical destiny by the guidelines and supervision of the Board of Directors. It also represents the Foundation legally.

The Technical Council is responsible for making technical decisions that ensure the Foundation’s proper functioning. It comprises representatives from Academia, Community, National and International NGOs, and the Executive Director.

The Ethics Committee is responsible for ensuring adherence to ethics, safeguards, and the expected behavior of the members.

Internal Structure

At the operational level, the Jambato Alliance comprises the Executive Directorate, the Technical Council, and one Coordination for each of its five components:

  • Research
  • Education and Community Engagement
  • Communication
  • Conservation
  • Economic Sustainability

Members of the Jambato Alliance

To be a member of the Jambato Alliance, a person needs to:

  • Voluntarily accept being part of the initiative;
  • Pay the membership fee according to the membership category (if applicable);
  • Sign the Personal Informed Consent to participate in any of its projects;
  • Commit to supporting the Jambato Alliance in achieving its objectives; and
  • Accept the Code of Ethics and Safeguards for working with communities.
